No vacancy available at this time.
However, I believe I am a good candidate for this agency because I am already one of their Professional Development Specialists and I am very familiar with the CDA process. Also, because I have the passion, the knowledge and skills to work in area of the early childhood field.
This organization is one of my favorite because they advocate for the age group I am most passionate about. I believe they do a wonderful work in the field in regards of the well being of infants and toddlers.
They currently have an opening for a training specialist that I am very excited about. The position is focus on work with the Early Head Start National Resource Center. As an Education Manager for an Early Head Start program this opportunity sounds really interesting. Also, the training specialist will focus on coordinating training events and conferences for early head start leadership. They require a M.S degree in Early Childhood education which I am hoping to obtain soon. I will definitely keep my eyes on this organization since I learned they have this kind of opportunities.
NAEYC is the biggest organization in the world working on behalf the well-being of children. I am interested in them because I believe that all early childhood programs should be held at the high quality such NAEYC.
I am interested in becoming a NAEYC assessor in the future. At this time they are taking applications for next year. The applications will be reviewed at the beginning of 2014. This is a contractor job in which I will have to be familiar with NAEYC accreditation and I will have to pass training and reliability test. It is important to be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices and child development in order to be successful on this position.
You did an awesome job on your blog post and chose some very powerful organizations. It would be an honor to work for any of your chosen three.
ReplyDeleteI think it’s great that this exercise may have put you on track for a future job opportunity. You sound enthusiastic about two of the job prospects. I am excited for you!
ReplyDeleteMarta,
ReplyDeleteI also looked at the NAEYC website as a source this week; information on the site is also a reference to my capstone project. I was wondering where you found the information about the need for assessors? I did not see that information and would love to look at the description and job possibility further. Thanks.
Hi Heidi,
DeleteHere is the link about NAEYC assessors

They are accepting applications thorough the end of the year for next year.
Thank you.
DeleteMarta,
ReplyDeleteI am familiar with all three of the organizations that you have mentioned. Because our Teacher's Assistants have to have a CDA or be working on an AA degree by October 1, 2013, I have spent a great deal of time working with the Council for Professional Recognition. I was glad to see that you are a Professional Development Specialist. They are seeking additional people to become one. I have thought about that myself.
The age range zero to three is a very exciting one for right now. There is a great deal of research about the importance of education in this range.
NAEYC was also an organization that I chose. Eventually, I hope that I can write for the magazine or for the publications.
Thank you for sharing thees wonderful resources!
Hi Marta,
ReplyDeleteYou defined three outstanding organizations. I am especially fascinated with the “Zero to Three” organization. Much like your views, I think they do wonderful work in the field. I think you should keep an eye on the website to see if any vacancy becomes available as a training specialist. I wish you much success on your employment ventures.
