My Supports

Support means to me people who care, listens and that stand on your side regardless  of situations you go through.  They are with you in the good times and bad times.  Support can also be tools that you use to work in your daily activities.  The most important support system, in my life, is the emotional support system.  My husband provides that support to me in a daily basis.  He listens to my frustrations and makes me realize that sometimes things are not as bad as I see them.  He also pushes me to  do better in everything that I do.  He is my friend and my counselor and he accept me for who I am.  Also, my sister and my son listen to me and help me to make decisions when I feel troubled or confused.  At work, my co-workers support the work that I do, and they work as a team to accomplish our goals.  Some of the tools that I use to support my daily activities is my outlook calendar it helps me to remember my appointments and meetings, the computer allows me to communicate and complete many of my tasks.  The GPS guides my way anytime I have to go to a unfamiliar place.  My life would be very difficult if I did not have the emotional support of my husband and my family.  Besides that  without the tools available to make my job easy.  My workload would be much bigger if  technology did not exist and the help of my team.

  1. Marta, I agree that support is based on care. It is also based on assistance. Support can come from families or friends. Therefore, I rely on my support systems to help me achieve goals in life.

  2. Marta,
I like that you described your husband as your counselor. I would agree with that, too. Life would be much more challenging without others to encourage us and help dispel our self-doubts!

  3. I do agree that any kind of support is based on person’s heart first. Without any care that somebody else needs us, than the following factors are useless to be exist in our daily life.

  4. Marta,
It is nice to have a husband fulfill such a great role in your life, that’s wonderful. I wish I had one—not really—but I’m glad that you are blessed with such great people in your life. After reading your blog, I realized that I forgot an important support in my life. My calendar, I refer to it on a daily basis. I am so forgetful and I don’t know how I made it day to day without one. I mostly use the calendar in my phone but I do refer to the calendar posted at my worksite. My calendar helps me to not overbook my day and keep in mind all my scheduled activities. What a great support, how could I have forgotten it? Thanks for reminding me that I need a calendar as one of my daily supports.

  5. I agree support include those who listen and stands by your side when you need them the most. That is great that you have someone to communicate with when you are frustrated or angry. It is not good to hold in those stressors. We are hoping that our technology supports us on our learning journey!
